PHIX Pod System & DM1 Tobacco Pods: Now In Stock at Mister Smokes
We now carry the PHIX battery and DM1 tobacco pods in-store. Here's a full breakdown of the system, what makes it different from disposables and other pod systems, and who it's built for.
What Is PHIX?
PHIX is a closed pod e-cigarette system — a compact rechargeable battery that pairs with pre-filled DM1 pods. You drop in a pod, it magnetically snaps into place, and the device activates automatically when you draw. No buttons, no settings, no maintenance.
The brand was built by a team with serious roots in the vaping industry — they came up under Brewell MFG, an established premium e-liquid company. That formulation experience is baked directly into the PHIX pod system. They know how nicotine salt liquids behave, how coil material affects flavor delivery, and how to engineer a pod that actually lasts.
PHIX is globally recognized and has been in the market long enough to refine what they make. This isn't a brand chasing trends — it's a system that was designed with a specific purpose: give adult smokers a cleaner, more satisfying alternative to cigarettes.
PHIX vs. Disposables — What's the Difference?
If you're used to disposable vapes, here's how PHIX compares:
Breaking Down the DM1 Pod
The DM1 is PHIX's current pod line — and it's built around three things that separate it from the average closed pod system:
Ceramic Coil Technology
Most cheaper pod systems use cotton wicks, which can degrade over time and produce burnt or muted hits as the pod empties. PHIX uses ceramic coils — more durable, more consistent heat distribution, and better for preserving the actual flavor of the e-liquid from start to finish.
Stainless Steel Pod Construction
The pod body is stainless steel — not plastic. This keeps the e-liquid flavor clean throughout the pod's life and prevents any material contamination that can show up with lower-quality pod construction.
Nicotine Salt Formulation
Nicotine salts deliver nicotine more efficiently and smoothly than freebase nicotine. The hit is less harsh, the satisfaction comes faster, and the overall experience is closer to what cigarette smokers are used to. This is what makes pod systems like PHIX a legitimate cigarette alternative — not just a vape.
Up to 400 Puffs Per Pod
Each DM1 pod delivers up to 400 consistent draws. Because of the ceramic coil and e-liquid engineering, those 400 puffs hold flavor throughout — not just the first 100.
Who the PHIX System Is Built For
PHIX is a focused product. It's not trying to be everything to everyone. Here's who it actually serves:
Adult Cigarette Smokers Looking to Switch
PHIX was designed specifically to address the feel of smoking a cigarette. The draw resistance, nicotine delivery speed, and throat sensation from the nic salt pods come closest to what a cigarette actually delivers. If you've tried disposables and found them too harsh or not satisfying enough, PHIX is worth trying.
Pod System Users Who Want Better Quality
If you've been using JUUL or another pod system and want something built with better materials and more consistent flavor, the PHIX DM1 pods are a direct upgrade. Ceramic coil and stainless steel construction aren't gimmicks — they make a real difference in flavor quality and pod longevity.
Anyone Who Wants Low-Maintenance Vaping
PHIX is the opposite of a complex vape setup. There's nothing to adjust, nothing to refill, nothing to prime. Drop in a pod and go. When the pod is done, swap it. It's the simplest version of a quality pod system — by design.

Common Questions
Where can I buy PHIX pods near Buena Park?
At Mister Smokes — 7685 Knott Ave, Buena Park, CA 90620. Open Mon–Sat 10am–9pm and Sunday 10am–8pm. Call (714) 690-9600 to confirm pod availability before you come in.
Do I need to buy the battery if I already have one?
No. If you already have a PHIX battery, come in for pods only. We carry DM1 pods in-store. Our staff will confirm compatibility and current stock when you call or visit.
How does PHIX compare to JUUL?
Both are closed nic salt pod systems. PHIX DM1 pods use ceramic coils and stainless steel construction — materials that most users find deliver better flavor consistency and longer-lasting pod performance compared to systems like JUUL.
Is the PHIX battery rechargeable?
Yes — the PHIX battery is rechargeable. You replace the pods when they run out, not the device itself. This makes PHIX more economical over time compared to buying a new disposable every time.
What should I know before buying PHIX for the first time?
You need both the battery and pods to get started. The battery charges via USB and is reusable. Pods are single-use — drop them in, vape, and swap when done. Come in or call us and we'll make sure you leave with everything you need.
